Returns/Exchanges
We do not accept or approve exchanges. We currently do not accept returns or exchanges during the period when items are received. Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns or exchanges on sale items, pre-loved items, marked items sold as damaged, and gift cards.
Refunds
To be eligible for a refund, your request must be made within 24 hours of placing your order and/or before the order is shipped; accompanied by a receipt or proof of purchase. To initiate a refund request, please contact us through our contact page or email us at the hello@thesmutsyndicate.com. If your refund request is approved, refunds are only processed using store credit.Â
In certain cases, if a refund is approved after the item has been shipped, the refund will be issued as store credit through our cashback book club rewards system.Â
Please note that items returned without prior approval will not be accepted. You can always contact us for any return question at hello@thesmutsyndicate.com.
Damages and issues
Once your order has been handed over to USPS, we are no longer responsible for any lost, missing, delayed, or damaged packages. Ownership of the package transfers to the customer at the time of shipment. If you experience any issues with delivery, please contact USPS directly to file a claim or request support. We are unable to replace or refund orders affected by carrier-related issues.
Exceptions / non-returnable items
Certain types of items cannot be returned, like perishable goods (such as food, flowers, or plants), custom products (such as special orders or personalized items), and personal care goods (such as beauty products). We also do not accept returns for hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases. Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item.
