[PRE-ORDER] Don't Be Shy (Masked Monsters), Opal Reyne [Pub Date: Jan 12, 2027]

Monsters and humans don't mix in this spicy dark monster romcom from indie bestselling author Opal Reyne. Paige is about to learn that the real danger isn’t the monstrous secrets hiding behind Killian's mask—it’s how badly she wants him anyway.

AT NIGHT, THE MASKED MONSTERS COME OUT TO PLAY.

Paige, a receptionist and dedicated student, lives an unexceptional life in Sydney. She walks the streets unaware of the underbelly of the city, in which heliyons—monsters masquerading as humans—roam and hunt.

Which means that Killian is doing his job right.

Killian was a nomad before joining a vigilante faction that works to protect humans and keep their existence as heliyons a secret. He’s got no taste for human blood, and no patience for those who do. The only taste he craves is some attention from the auburn-haired bombshell who struts by each night in the distance.

When their paths cross, both of their worlds are turned on their heads. Paige finds herself equally intrigued and infuriated by the masked stranger who sees fit to intervene in her life. Killian soon becomes infatuated, though he knows he can never have a real relationship with a human. As Killian’s warped humor and dark side bring down Paige’s barriers, Paige grows impossibly fond, though she doubts there’s a future for her with someone intent on keeping so many secrets—someone who won’t even show her his face.

But masks cover secrets best kept for a reason, and as the real dangers of Killian’s world put Paige at risk, they must decide what price they’ll pay to be together.
